  3. And quite right too after THAT Violetta! It was the most thrilling thing we've seen in an English opera house so far in this millennium. Let's not forget her appearance at the Last Night of the Proms when he sent the audience into a frenzy, or her wonderful Donna Anna with Erwin either. The press release accompanying the awards calls her "the greatest living soprano".

Those of you with access to UK TV may like to know that the event will be broadcast next Thursday evening - 15 May - at 10.30pm on ITV1.

Carlos: Thank you so much for this site. It's an absolute model of its kind and you do a fantastic job of updating us on every piece of news. It's an invaluable help for all Anna's growing army of fans in helping us to keep track of her performances.

  5. I was working there last night and she only performed the traviata duet (brindisi) with a very disappointing Andrea Bocelli, still she was looking amazing in a very beautiful white dress and she was lovely to everyone as always. Daniele de Niese was booked last minute and came all the way from glyndebourne to replace anna and sing Les filles de Cadix. Just thought I should let you all know.
    best,

I don't like Andrea Boccelli either...I have listened to him in a couple of youtube videos and never liked him...

I want to congratulate you for the blog again, too.
