2009 Richard Tucker Music Foundation Gala, Avery Fisher Hall, NY 22. Nov 2009

The 2009 Richard Tucker Music Foundation Gala was held this Sunday 22. November 2009 at the Avery Fisher Hall, NY. The Russian-Austrian soprano Anna Netrebko sang Arditi's "Il Bacio", the duet "O soave fanciulla" from Puccini's "La Bohème" with Matthew Polenzani and, closing out the evening, the Act II, Scene 2 finale from Verdi's La Traviata, with Zeljko Lucic and 2009 Richard Tucker Award winner, tenor Stephen Costello

Sarah B. on her blog Adventures in the Endless Pursuit of Entertainment wrote: "Anna Netrebko was fabulous - her high notes were clear and gorgeous. She wore a strangely cut gown, but wore gorgeous sparkly shoes (that's an A+)".
