  1. Getting the right cast for the Mariinsky is not always an easy task... The cast, only the main roles, was announced some days or weeks ago. Today they did 2 changes!
Still would like to know the rest of the cast. I know, despite that it has not been published, that Eleonora Vindau was Brigitte (as in Baden-Baden). Anyone could provide the rest of the cast?

  2. Hi, Carlos! Great job as always! I can’t help you find the rest of the cast but look here: http://smotri.zvezdanews.ru/video/day_events/0036296/
The clip begins with the following information: Yesterday, 15 minutes after the end of the performance, on the stage of the Mariinsky Theatre, Anna Netrebko has been titled a Honorary Doctor of Institude for Children’s Traumathology and presented with a Golden scalpel and a medal for the financial support made under the title/motto: “For saving children’s life”!!! Probably, one of Anna’s noble causes!!!

  4. Thanks Violeta,

I already got, thanks to Vixel from ForumKlassika, the complete cast. Thanks for the info on the Honorary Doctor Award that I have now posted. The videoclip, showing part of this ceremony, was already posted this morning.

  6. Hi Carlos, It seems Anna’s performance of “Iolanta” at the Mariinski theater has been recoreded for TV. I read this information in a Russian nespaper “Izvestia”. Look here: http://www.izvestia.ru/culture/article3133690/
At the end of the article you can read the following sentences:
And when the hall was empty, TV men recording "Ioanta" found out that something has not been done. And singers should repeat almost half of the performance. It became clear that this will end far after midnight. Therefore the planned evening with friends for Anna Netrebko has turned to half an hour conersation behind the curtain.
    Regards, Violeta
