Anna Netrebko in a concert performance of Giovanna D'Arco at the Salzburger Festspiele 2013

The programme of the Salzburger Festspiele 2013 has been just released. Anna Netrebko will sing the tittle role of Giuseppe Verdi's Giovanna D'Arco at the Felsenreitschule, Salzburg, on 6., 10. and 13. August 2013. The cast includes Plácido Domingo as Giacomo. The opera will be performed in concert version.

Deutsche Grammophon releases the album "Anna Netrebko - Live at the Metropolitan Opera"

Deutsche Grammophon releases the album "Anna Netrebko - Live at the Metropolitan Opera".

The CD, which will be released on 16. Sep 2011, includes works by Prokofiev, Mozart, Bellini, Donizetti, VerdiGounod, Offenbach and Puccini.

Anna Netrebko sings with top opera singers such as Dimitri Hvorostovsky, Juan Diego Florez, Roberto Alagna, Joseph Calleja and Piotr Beczala.

Valery Gerviev, Sylvain Cambreling, Placido Domingo and James Levine conduct the Metroplitan Opera Orchestra.

Live At The Met features excerpts from live performances on the Met stage from La Boheme, Don Giovanni, War &Peace, I Puritani, Les Contes d'Hoffmann, Romeo etJuliette, Don Pasquale and Lucia di Lammermoor.

Anna Netrebko at the Ioan Holender's Farewell Gala at the Wiener Staatsoper, Wien 26. June 2010

London 26. June 2010 13:30. Anna Netrebko arrives to the stage door of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. She is almost running, carrying a huge Daisy in her arms. She had to meet Antonio Pappano, Plácido Domingo and Ferruccio Furlanetto, who had been performing at the dress rehearsal of Simon Boccanegra the same morning, to take a minivan to the airport and take a private jet to Wien to attend the spectacular Ioan Holender's farewell gala at the Wiener Staatsoper, scheduled on the same day. Two minivan were waiting for the group. Anna Netrebko, with her huge Daisy, Ferruccio Furlaneto and Antonio Pappano took the first minivan. Plácido Domingo and Simon Keenlyside took the second one.

The Ioan Holender's farewell gala was really spectacular. More than four hours of performances, with 12 conductors and around 50 singers. The gala was broadcast live by ORF 2.

Anna Netrebko gets a Echo Klassik Award 2009

Anna Netrebko, Rolando Villazón, Elina Garanca, René Pape and Plácido Domingo are among the winners of the Echo Klassik 2009 Awards which were announced in June and have been delivered today in a Gala Ceremony held at the Dresden Semperoper. Neither Anna Netrebko or Rolando Villazón attended the Gala and it was Plácido Domingo who collected their award to the Best Opera Recording of the Year (19th Century).

Anna Netrebko on Great Performances Special on PBS

Anna Netrebko will appear on television screens across the US over the coming year in a Great Performances special on PBS titled Domingo, Netrebko, & Villazón: Three Stars in Vienna.

The program was recorded last June, when the three singers performed an outdoor concert in front of more than 10,000 people at the Imperial Park of Vienna’s Schönbrunn Palace on June 27, 2008.

Presented by Thirteen/WNET New York in high definition, the broadcast is led by French conductor Bertrand de Billy, directing the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra. The program begins airing on Thirteen/WNET in New York on November 30, 2008 and later in other markets (check local listings).

Platinum status for Das Waldbühnen-Konzert DVD

The Waldbühne Concert DVD with Plácido Domingo, Anna Netrebko and Rolando Villazón has reached the Platinum status with 50,000 DVDs sold in Germany and 100,000 total around the world. The ceremony took place at the Orangerie of the Schloss Schönbrunn on 27. June 2008, just after the concert given by the three artists. This concert broke all the records with 3.3 millions of spectators, getting a 28% of share and 514,000 spectators in Austria and a 12% share and more than 2,8 million of spectators in Germany.

TV Broadcasts of the concert of Plácido Domingo, Anna Netrebko and Rolando Villazón, Schönbrunn, Wien 27. Jun 2008

Austrian TV channel ORF2, German TV channel ZDF and Danish TV channel DR2 will broadcast the concert given by Plácido Domingo, Anna Netrebko and Rolando Villazón at the Ehrenhof of the Schönbrunn Schloss, Wien on Friday 27. June 2008 at 20:00. Bertrand de Billy conducts the Radio Symphonieorchester Wien. ORF2 broadcast timing will be 21:15-22:57 (1h 42m), ZDF broadcast timing will be 21:15-23:15 (2h) and DR2 broadcast timing will be 20:45-22:30 (1h 45 m). ORF2 and ZDF broadcasts will be in 16:9 format.

Roméo et Juliette from the MET, Broadcast in HDTV starting 6. April 2008

The Metropolitan Opera's live high-definition satellite transmissions will be seen on public television in a fourteen-part series, beginning on March 30. Great Performances at the Met, presented by Thirteen/WNET New York, will feature the broadcast premieres of all eight presentations from the 2007-08 season of "The Met: Live in HD," as well as the six shows from the 2006-07 season. The series will air every Sunday afternoon at 12:00 p.m./EST for 14 weeks in selected public television markets. In New York, the programs will be a part of Thirteen/WNET's new SundayArts programming showcase.

Broadcast premiere of Gounod's Roméo et Juliette on Great Performances at the Met, starring Anna Netrebko, Roberto Alagna, Isabel Leonard and Nathan Gunn with Plácido Domingo conducting, is schedule on 6. April 2008. This performance was live broadcasted to select theaters over the world on 15. December 2007.

Bellini's I Puritani performance on 6. January 2007, live broadcasted last season of Great Performances at the Met, will be broadcasted as an encore on 4. May. Now in its second year, "The Met: Live in HD" is presented in more than 600 theaters in 15 different countries and, so far this season, have been seen by nearly 650,000 people around the world who have joined together to experience the excitement and drama of live opera in movie theaters. The transmissions are produced by leading television and film directors. Mobile cameras capture the spectacle of the live performances and provide a front-row perspective. The viewing experience is enhanced by backstage coverage, including live interviews with the artists. Also presented on Thirteen HD, the television broadcasts are presented in their original high definition format, with Dolby 5.1 digital Surround Sound.

Anna Netrebko in a Press Conference in Wien, 10. February 2008

Anna Netrebko, Plácido Domingo and Rolando Villazón appeared in a press conference this afternoon in Wien. Anna Netrebko, due to her recently announced pregnancy, will make a stage pause from the end of June 2008 until January 2009.

Therefore she would peform in "La Bohème" at the Mariinsky Theater on 29. February 2008, a concert with Elina Garanca in Abu Dhabi on 29. March 2008, "Manon" at the Wiener Staatsoper on 6.-15. April 2008, "I Capuleti e I Montecchi" at the Konzerthaus in Wien on 22.-28. April 2008, a concert in Moscow on 4. May 2008, "I Capuleti e I Montecchi" at the Opera Bastille in Paris on 24. May-15. June 2008 and, what would be probably her last on stage appearance before the birth of her first child, the concert with Plácido Domingo and Rolando Villazón, scheduled on 27. Her initially scheduled appearances in "Roméo et Juliette" at the Salzburger Festival in August 2008, "Lucia di Lammermoor" at the MET in October 2008, the concert with Rolando Villazón at the Passionstheater, Oberammergau on 19. July 2008, the Gala Lirica at Torre del Lago on 5. September 2008 and the concert tour with Dmitri Hvorostovsky to Paris, London and Wien in November 2008 would be cancelled. It is not clear right now if she would be able to sing some of the performances of "Manon" at the MET on 10. December 2008-15. January 2009.

As expected, her "Roméo et Juliette" peformances at the Salzburger Festival in August 2008 and the concert with Rolando Villazón at the Passionstheater, Oberammergau on 19. July 2008 have been now officially cancelled on the schedule page of the official Anna Netrebko website.

HDTV Broadcast of Roméo et Juliette on PBS on 6. April 2008

The past MET performance of Roméo et Juliette on 15. December 2007, with Anna Netrebko and Roberto Alagna in the leading roles and Plácido Domingo conducting, will be broadcast by PBS in HDTV on 6. April 2008.

Live Broadcasts - Roméo et Juliette, MET

The MET Opera Radio on Sirius will broadcast live from the MET the performances of Goundod's Roméo et Juliette on 12., 15., 20., 27. and 31. December 2007.

The saturday matinee performance on 15. December will be broadcast live in HD into select movie theaters in USA and other nations. This performance will be also available on demand-tv in USA, in both standard and HD formats, starting 16. January 2008.

Anna Netrebko in the new CD of Juan Diego Flórez

Juan Diego Flórez will be in Valencia, Spain, until 26. November 2007, recording a new "bel canto" CD for DECCA at the "Sala Auditorio del Palacio de las Artes Reina Sofía". Anna Netrebko, Plácido Domingo, Patrizia Ciofi, Daniela Barcellona and Mariusz Kwiecien will participate in this recording. Daniel Oren will conduct the Orchestra of the "Comunidad Valenciana".

Anna Netrebko, Plácido Domingo, Rolando Villazón, Wien 27. June 2008

Vienna - Opera stars Anna Netrebko, Placido Domingo and Rolando Villazon will perform in a concert at the Austrian capital Vienna on Friday 27. June 2008, two days ahead of the EURO 2008 European football championship finals. The Russian-born star soprano and the Spanish and Mexican tenors already were in a successful concert in 2006 ahead of the world championship finals in Berlin, watched by more than 100 million TV viewers, their agency said.
They will perform in front of Vienna's baroque Schoenbrunn palace on June 27. Villazon, who had not been on stage for months due to health reasons, confirmed his participation.
