  1. Thanks for posting this! The videos have been uploaded to youtube really quickly. Now let's enjoy them!
BTW, I enjoyed very much I Capuleti broadcast yesterday. It was a great performance.

  2. I have been a couple of days out of town without internet connection, so I was not able to listen the radio broadcast. Finally it was the performance on 8. Jun the one broadcasted? It was announced the one on 5. Jun. In any case I had listened both of them and they were great.

  3. In France Musique's site it said that it was the one on 5. Jun., so I suppose it was that one. I don't understand French very well, so I don't know if the speaker said another thing...;)

Would you mind if I link this post in my blog's last entry? I talked a little about the Schönbrunn concert in there.

  4. There is an upload in OS saying it was the performance on 8. Jun but I do not know if it was a mistake or typing error. France Musique had announce it would be the 5. Jun.

Of course you can place a link in your blog. You do not need to ask for permission ;)

  6. If you enjoyed this concert then try looking at the 2006 concert by these same three stars from The Waldebuhne, Berlin. That was better in all respects.

  7. I totally agree with you, Brian!

Although the performers were great as always, but not at their very best - the technical part .... well ... the sound and camera work was a disaster - too many views from far away and the constant zooming in on the audience made you wonder if some of them had paid to be in focus ....

    I was disappointed!

  8. I very much share your disappointment Gawinski Photo and agree with you that the performers were not at their very best. As you rightly say the sound and camera work was very poor, which certainly did not help. I also feel the vast flat expanse of the Schloss Schonbrunn site compared very unfavourably with the amphitheatre of The Waldbuhne which helped to generate such a wonderful atmosphere, and rubbed off on everybody - not least the performers and the excellent conductor Marco Armiliato. The chemistry between them all at The Waldbuhne was almost tangible, especially during the five unforgettable encores - sadly this was totally lacking in Vienna. Finally, while I appreciate the programme content is a matter of personal taste, I felt The Waldbuhne was again much better, especially for such a wide audience.
The Germans may have lost the football final in Vienna, but they certainly won the battle of the concerts!

  9. Hi, it was a great concern. Will the concert also be released on CD?
