Upcoming CDs Releases with Anna Netrebko

Two new CDs involving the soprano Anna Netrebko will be released in the upcoming months.

The first one is a studio recording of Rossini's "Stabat Mater".

Conductor Antonio Pappano and his acclaimed Roman orchestra the Accademia di Santa Cecilia have just finished recording Rossini's Stabat Mater at the stunning Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome.

The piece was recorded in the ultra-modern Auditorium, a world-class venue, giving it what Pappano calls "emotion... precision... conviction".

The recording, which includes star soloists Anna Netrebko, Joyce DiDonato, Lawrence Brownlee and Ildebrando d'Arcangelo, will be released internationally through EMI Classics in November 2010.

Shortly after the release of this CD, Anna Netrebko will sing Rossini's "Stabat Mater" at the Wiener Konzerthaus, Wien on 18. January 2011. On this occasion Anna Netrebko will be accompanied by Ruxandra Donose, John Relyea and Colin Lee. Maestro Karel Mark Chichon will conduct the Wiener KammerOrchester.
