ORF, Austrian television, presents worldwide exclusively the film "Anna Netrebko - West-Eastern Diva" on 9. Aug 2010 at 10:30 PM (CET), one-day before of the Salzburg premiere of Gounod's "Roméo et Juliette" starring Anna Netrebko and Piotr Beczala, making his role debut as Roméo, in the title roles.
The film of Russian director Anna Mitrokhina presents an insight in the private life of Anna Netrebko, showing private scenes as you have never seen before, away from the glamour and stardom, such as scenes of Anna Netrebko in love with her husband, the Uruguayan baritone Erwin Schrott, in Salzburg, Anna Netrebko singing folk songs in the garden of the house of her parents in Krasnodar, Anna Netrebko cooking with her sister Natasha in her new home in Wien or Anna Netrebko together with her cute son Tiago.
"For me it was a great opportunity to make this film about her. Anna also agreed and so we worked ten months together in this great project." said the Russian director Anna Mitrokhina.
In this new production, Anna Netrebko not only talks about her private life, but also about her relationship with the public.

The link works but only shows the preview of the film, the same videoclip I posted
ReplyDeleteIt's OK. You didn't miss much. It's meant for those who don't know her or her story.
ReplyDeleteMany were talking about how she's great: Alagna, Hollander, Giordani, Barenboim, Gergiev... Schrott was repeating that he's deeply in love with her... She says that her opera-heart is split among Mariinsky, Staatsoper in Vienna, and the Met.
A couple of shots with Tiago and with her sister and that's it!
And the demand for tickets for tomorrow's premiere of Roméo et Juliette in Salzburg is INSANE! People are offering 1.000 € for whatever the ticket!
Cheers
Nice film, though I was expecting more. Well, I could not understand much! If I have studied Deutsch harder at school.... Now I'm impatiently waiting for next Monday when I'll be in Salzburg to watch Romeo and Juliette!
