Anna Netrebko will give a recital of russian melodies at Salle Gaveau, Paris on 3. May 2012. Miss Netrebko will be accompanied by Elena Bashkirova at the piano.
Anna's Russian Aria album is utterly spectacularly Mind-blowing. I would love to hear her singing Russian folk songs. Hvorosotsky has an album like that which I thought was quite successful, but I can't imagine anything more magical than Anna singing Russian folk songs.
You are absolutely right! Nevertheless, this will be a piano recital, rather than a concert with orchestra as in the Russian Album. So, we may have as reference the recitals she gave in Salzburg and Berlin, among other sites. A few days later she will give another one in Wien, most likely with the same repertoire, with Barenboim at the piano.
A join album of russian melodies by Anna and Dmitri would be a must!
