Anna Netrebko and Erwin Schrott as the Countess and Count in Mozart's "Le Nozze di Figaro" in 2013 in Wien

Austrian magazine NEWS publishes that Anna Netrebko and Erwin Schrott will be together as the Countess and the Count in Mozart's "Le Nozze di Figaro" at the Wiener Staatsoper in 2013. Schrott, who recently got the spanish nationality, is so happy about that: "It will be like fireworks on the stage - Anna and I fighting on the stage as the Countess and the Count. We will try it fist in Baden-Baden and then in Wien".

    Particularly, I would have prefered to see her as Susanna. As everyone knows she made her operatic debut at the Mariinsky singing this role. In Salzburg in 2002 when Harnoncourt told her to sing the Countess she replied to him "But Meastro, I'm Susanna!". Wel, not anymore in 2012... Things change...

    Madre mía que error que cante la condesa. Claro que lo hará bien pero es un error. Haciendo un símil con el fútbol: Es como si a Cristiano Ronaldo le pones de defensa; mal no lo va a hacer pero ese no es su puesto. Anna Netrebko es Susana, como ella misma reconoce.
    ¿Quién se va a creer que a una belleza como la de Anna es posible que alguien le ponga los cuernos? Es que hay que ser muy tonto...
